Malaysia Traditional Food Museum is to manifest the culture and taste of the Malaysia Traditional Food to worldwide. And also, to preserve the recipe of the traditional food. There are displaying the Malaysian local traditional food in the museum which are the Malay traditional food, Chinese traditional food, Indian traditional food, Kadazan traditional food, and Iban traditional food in the museum. This was achieved by using the subject matter as the Nasi Lemak and the main design concept for this project in Unity. The reason of using the subject matter of the Nasi Lemak to represent the Unity is because of nasi lemak is formed by the normal ingredient which is the steaming portion of Santan-infused rice, a sparkling of deliciously crispy Ikan Bilis, slices of cool cucumber, a hardboiled egg and not to mention everyone’s favorite, a generous dollop of spicy sambal. All these are just the normal ingredient but until it mixes, it forms one of the most amazing explosions of flavors the world has ever seen. It also represents Malaysia was formed by the different culture of the ethnic.
The client of this project is JMM Jabatan Muzium Malaysia which is the department of museum Malaysia. They are responsible for preserving, conserving and disseminating knowledge about the country’s historical, cultural and natural heritage to create awareness among the people of the country’s rich heritage of history, multiracial cultures and natural environment to create a harmonious society with high moral standard and to assist the government in promoting and developing the tourism industry.
Starting from the Entrance to the information counter, the use of the shattering pieces of pentagon element to design as a starting point of the whole building interior design. Besides, there is an AI robot as a customer service to guide the users. The wall also has been painted some food graphic to indicate and manifest Malaysia Traditional Food.
Next, to the souvenir shop that set near to the entrance is to attract users' views to buy after going out to the museum. The design concept has also used the pentagon as an inspiration point to development. Besides, the display cabinet design with the concept of hand and the finger to indicate ‘PRESERVING’ and there are using a different color of the wood texture to represent the different ethnicities in Malaysia.
The half-dome area beside the souvenir shop is to giving users experience and learn what ingredients can be used to cook what Malaysian traditional food by touching the 180 degrees led screen. It makes the visitor feel like they are living in the food recipe world.
Furthermore, that is the focal point at the center of the museum and this is an open area for organizing any event by the authority. The design concept also is inspired by the pentagon and further transforms into the star shape. The star shape activity area can be seen from the second floor.
The Cooking studio as a cooking education area for users to learn about how to cook Malaysian traditional food. Besides, to help users develop confidence in cooking. The floor tile design is used to bring out the feeling of local culture in Malaysia. The huge LED screen design hanging on the wall is to propose to educate and showing users the way of cooking. For the toilet area, there are using the marble as the material to design to bringing the luxury feel, and the ceiling design with the star shape plaster ceiling to follow concept design of the whole project interior design.
The magnificent interior of the museum can be viewed from the second floor. The design concept is inspired by the star shape to develop with comfortable lightning temperature to create a comfortable and luxury dining experience and feeling.

The Facade for this project is designed with the element of pentagon shape LED screen to show how unity is the Malaysian people. The LED screen will be advertising the manifesto of Malaysia Traditional Food to attract people's eyes. Also, this design is to bring the whole building to life.
